A Japanese warrior ("Musha") from the Heian period created with the ancestral craft of Maki-e. Gold and silver powders are scattered onto the design made of Japanese lacquer to create the unique texture, depth and movement of the 'Musha' masterpiece.
The original drawing is 100 years old – Depicts Japanese warrior – “Musha” – during the Heian period (between 794 and 1185)
Created by the Maki-e master Nobuhiro TANII from the Zohiko Lacquerware atelier. 3 months per piece is needed to finalise these works of art.
