“Elixir made of body and soul” – Samaroli

A collectable, 1991 vintage Demerara rum from an unnamed distillery bottled in 2005 by an Italian independent bottler, Samaroli. Probably Italy’s most respected independent bottler of Scotch whisky, he is regarded by many as a visionary with his impeccable taste in single cask whiskies and rum, gaining significant popularity in the 1980s. The Samaroli brand is now considered legendary.

In 1991, the Diamond, Uitvlugt and Enmore distilleries were still in operation in Guyana, producing distinctive styled rums however after the closure of both Uitvlugt and Enmore, their stills were transported to the Diamond distillery in 2000 where their styles still remained.
