Distilled in the Macallan Distillery in 1990 then matured and rested in a sherry hogshead cask for 28 years before being bottled in 2019 at cask strength. A rare Macallan cask with only 292 bottles released, presented in a plush veneer case accompanied with a uniquely numbered certificate.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Dense maltiness with notes of sourdough bread gently turning into aromas of fresh raisin doughnuts and toasted bread with buttery hints of hazelnut and coffee bean.

Palate: Complex with rich flavours of cedar wood, rancio, dried fruits and sweet spices. Balanced with underlying notes of dark chocolate and roasted hazelnuts.

Finish: Full-bodied with a thick waxy texture followed by a dry herbal finish, akin to oloroso sherry.
